Start with Contacts. Lists are groups of people and companies.

What this demo shows

A Microsoft Access contact book in the browser: people and companies, several phones and emails, addresses, and named lists.

  • Not the parked Contacts slug — that one is unprefixed. This is tblDirectoryContact.
  • One table for people and companies — IsPerson. Not frozen tblCustomers.
  • Child tabs — phones, emails, and addresses idle until the contact is saved.
  • Lists — a many-to-many. Members idle until the list is saved.
  • Unsaved changes — Yes / No / Cancel before leaving a dirty record.

Will this work when the data is in a database?

Yes. Contact, phone, email, address, and list membership are separate tables with FKs. The source front-end/back-end split, attachments, zip catalog, and empty invoice tables are omitted this pass.
